Rudolph (Rudolf), date unknown. He settled in Syracuse, probably between 1896 and 1898. He may have lived in Manhattan before coming to Syracuse.
Simon first appeared in Syracuse city directories in the 1898-99 edition as
Simon Rudolph, painter. His surname was recorded as
Rudolf on the 1900 census.
92In the 1912-15 directories, he was listed as
Rudolf, while in later directories, he was listed as
Rudolph. The 1920 address was 223 Manlius Street (owned).
Simon started out as a painter but in later years bought various pieces of real estate and may have lived off the rental income.
